Mumbai to Bengaluru is roughly 980 km by road and one of our busiest corridors. Here is what to expect.

Cost and time

A 2 BHK typically runs ₹38,000 to ₹62,000 including full packing. A 3 BHK is ₹52,000 to ₹85,000. Transit is normally 2 to 3 days door to door; add a day if the pickup is a late-afternoon slot.

The route

Most vehicles take NH-48 via Pune, Satara, Kolhapur, Belagavi and Tumakuru. It is a good road and the drive is uneventful in dry weather. In heavy monsoon the Belagavi stretch can slow considerably, and we build a buffer into delivery commitments between June and September.

Mumbai-side specifics

Loading in Mumbai is about access, not distance. Most societies restrict truck movement to specific hours, many need written permission days in advance, and service lift bookings are competitive. Narrow lanes in the older suburbs mean a 32 ft container often cannot reach the door and goods are shuttled by a smaller vehicle - this is normal and should be in the quotation, not a surprise.

Bengaluru-side specifics

Many Bengaluru apartment complexes do not allow move-ins on Sundays or public holidays, and several restrict them to weekday working hours. Check with your new society before fixing a delivery date, because a truck that arrives on a prohibited day waits, and waiting is billed.

Traffic makes timing matter enormously. Deliveries into Whitefield, Electronic City or Sarjapur are far easier before 10 AM or after 8 PM. Our crews prefer early morning slots on this route for good reason.

Paperwork

Both Maharashtra and Karnataka require the goods vehicle to carry a valid national permit and an e-way bill where the consignment value crosses the threshold. Your mover handles both, but ask to see them - it is a reasonable question and a professional operator will not mind.

What to do yourself

Transfer your gas connection before you leave; the paperwork is much easier from the Mumbai end. Get the school transfer certificate in hand. And if you are taking a car, book the carrier at the same time as the household move so both arrive together rather than a week apart.
